The subtitle of this blog
is so outdated! We’re already here, and I haven’t written anything since September, obviously. I was meaning to write a little more or less each day, about this process, but I guess I got just too excited.
The 2nd of November we moved in to our beautiful apartment. Spacious and bright with a grand view of North End. I can walk downtown…it takes only about ten minutes, and there’s a shopping center across the road.
From having lived in a very secluded place, where there was no sign of life at night, it’s almost a delight to wake up at night and see cars moving!
The ocean is all around and that was one of the major reasons for moving. We go out to a beach…if not every day, so almost. There are so many places to discover. We often go out to Lily Lake to look at the ducks…my favourite bird!
I’m sure there were many more places to see and discover in Quebec but I guess in my case the language barrier put a damper on the whole thing.
We got rid of most stuff when we moved, so we travelled light – with two saddle bags LOL. So far we’ve bought a new bed, a couch for me, a desk for my husband. We kept the dining table which is really nice and a few other pieces of furniture.
